The meeting.

A few weeks ago, we had our first Annual General Meeting as a group. It was great!! I was thrilled to meet the other members of my team and begin to build connections.

The meeting was well run and addressed a lot of formalities and logistics. But the underlying message was apparent: everyone was buzzing with anticipation for the 2012 trip!! Most of team had gone to Quito in years prior, and offered only rave reviews about this experience. Their excitement was certainly contagious - now it feels real, and I can barely wait!!

I am still working on fundraising, so please keep the contributions coming. I have reached out to our Lions Club for assistance, and am still waiting to hear back. I may also be running a raffle/draw of some kind, so stay tuned for more details!

Only $1,000 to go!!

WOW. Only  $1,000 before I hit my goal! I know it's not pocket-change, but it is still very possible. Look at what has come in so far!

I am off to my first CAMTA meeting tomorrow evening, so then I will FINALLY have some more concrete details to share. Can't wait!

I want to send a shout-out to all of those who have donated to my cause: THANK YOU! Donations have come from so many sources, I am astounded at the generosity of my family, friends, and community. This could not be possible without you.

I have meet my 1/2 way mark already, and I am looking forward to the next couple of months. Thank-you for your financial support and continued encouragement.

The general meeting will be taking place later this month, and at that time I'll be given more concrete details. For now, I am focusing on fundraising and spreading the CAMTA word!
